Outreach Activities

The Simpson Centre seeks to include all parties in active learning about farming methods and food ingredients, building connections among different areas of expertise to help design policies for a sustainable agriculture and food system.

Our outreach activities involve:

  • Encouraging discussions between stakeholders from different areas of expertise and user perspectives.
  • Paying attention to trade-offs – the indirect impacts of policymaking for agriculture, economics, health, environment.
  • Collecting more local information to build an accurate picture of contemporary farming practices.
  • Translating research into information that is interesting and accessible to the non-scientist, using familiar channels.
