Josh joined the Simpson Centre in May 2021 and is involved in the Centre’s Carbon Program. He holds a B.Sc. in Agribusiness and is currently pursuing a M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Manitoba. His primary research interests fall at the intersection of environmental policy and behavioral economics where he hopes to develop a better understanding of public preferences for climate change mitigation strategies in Western Canada. Josh aims to leverage state-of-the-art econometrics and machine learning techniques to provide policymakers with in depth analysis of the issues to enable them to make more effective policy decisions.
