Our Team

Hanan joined the Simpson Centre in January 2023 as Program Coordinator. His work focuses on program planning, development and implementation. He supports the integration of research-based evidence into policy design with policy analyses and by managing communication with the research teams and relevant stakeholders.

Previously, he worked as an Economist in the Ministry of Planning and Development, Islamabad. He holds a PhD in Economics from Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt and worked on quantifying the potential impact of GHG mitigation policies concerning Pakistan’s power sector and estimated the cost of emission abatement for wind and PV power plants.
