Our Team

Israa Farouk joined the Simpson Centre in December 2024, bringing her expertise in data science and analytics to support research in food policy and agricultural sustainability. She earned her Master’s degree in Data Science and Analytics from the University of Calgary, where her work focused on applying  statistical and machine learning techniques to complex datasets.

At the Simpson Centre, Israa supports evidence-based research by applying data analysis and visualization techniques to inform policy development. She is passionate about using innovative analytical approaches to promote sustainable practices and inform evidence-based decision-making.
